Rahul Mamkootathil is an aspiring young politician from Kerala, who is currently the Youth Congress state general secretary. He is also a very popular face among television audiences as he appears on television channels regularly as the spokesperson of the Indian National Congress.

Born in Pune, Maharashtra as the son of S Rajendra Kurup and Beena R Kurup, Rahul is now one of the most popular right wing politicians in Kerala. Rahul Mamkootathil completed his schooling at Thapovan Public School, Manakala, and St John’s School Thumpamon. He graduated in History from Catholicate College Pathanamthitta. He later moved to Delhi and completed his post-graduation in History from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi.

He has also worked as, KSU Catholicate College Unit office bearer, KSU Adoor Assembly Office bearer, KSU Pathanamthitta District General SecretaryKSU Pathanamthitta District President ( 2 days), KSU State General Secretary, and NSUI National Secretary Incharge of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Pondichery.

Rahul Mamkootathil started his early years in politics by working as a Kerala Students Union (KSU) activist. He soon became one of the most influential figures on the campus and was elected as the MG university Councillor in 2009-10.

Rahul Mamkootathil completed his schooling at Thapovan Public School, Manakala, and St John’s School Thumpamon. He graduated in History from Catholicate College Pathanamthitta. He later moved to Delhi and completed his post-graduation in History from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi.
